Tri-fold brochure margins

Im not that great with making pieces for print but does anyone know the proper margin, column and gutter size for a tri-fold brochure.

Im going to design it in Freehand and I need it to print off a regular printer so no full bleed.

Any help would be much appreciated.

i add the margins manually when using a vector program. i'm not sure if freehand has a template setup for a tri-fold but illy doesn't. i just use a calculator to find where to place my margins and go from there. i think it's 3.66" width for each fold, then subtract your desired margin (1/8 or 1/4) from that. make sure you double that in the middle section.
