Best free webhosting?

I was wondering what you guys consider to be the best free webhosting service(s) out there. Any that you are currently using and/or could recommend?

no pop ups/banner ads, just a few(1-3) text links on your main page, which you can control the style of.

this is just going to be another thread full of webhosting services.
I believe that there is no 'best' or 'worst' web hosting it's all depends on your need.
If there is 'best' hosting out there then everybody would use same hosting all over the world.

as for free hosting, i personally didnt really believe those "get FREE php+mysql hosting + no ads + 100mb space", yes indeed it is very tempting but very few of them last long. Most of them are the kind of 'up for a few month and then dissapear and you can't get your data back'

Your best bet, find a friend with a web server and talk them into letting you host your site there... otherwise... there is no best free webhost.

If you do go with one of those that army explained... make sure you constantly have a backup of your data, otherwise you will have put effort into something you will lose.
