Lighting through windows

Hey guys, i am working with 3ds max 7, and im curious to know how to achieve this kind of lighting in an indoor scene. Picture can be seen here: http://www.cgarchitect.com/resources/tutorials/smoke3d/tut1_8.jpg
i cannot seem to figure which renderer to use, which lighting objects and settings to use.
thanks!

While I'm not incredible with 3d (I've played with lightwave a few times), make sure intensity is a bit less. If it's coming through the window, you'll want a reasonably bright area light, but not harsh - remember, outdoor light is soft. Keep it a yellow color, never have absolutely-white lighting.

Also take a look at impressionistic art - it was all about natural lighting, and might give you some ideas / examples.

And why dont you just read the tutorial smoke wrote?

Smoke is a lighting master. If u cant understand from him then i dont see from who. that is an old tutorial and he explains perfectly well how to achieve that effect.
