In case you don't know, a 'clay model' is basically when you model something and then just set a grey color, blank material, with the lighting set up in a such a way that it looks like a clay model. I have attached an example of the early stages of a beretta model I made, in the clay model form to show you what I mean. Attachments:
___________________ This is more about the lighting than the material. Basically you use lots of lights at low levels often arranged in a circle to point at the target. It can also be achieved with radiosity but the first option will render a lot faster ___________________ Why do we have to learn English? I speaks da ***** how do you get the shadows like that?? someone please tell me!! lol i cant figure out how.. ___________________
just use a basic material using the diffuse colour swatch set your colour. add a skylight in the render dialogue go to advanced lighting and from the drop down list select light tracer Thats definately a Brazil render. Its a typical "clay texture"...the default texture you have in the material editor. the reason it looks like that is because global illumination is turned on (soft shadows are automated) ..the default skylight in brazil is blue..thus giving the environment that blue tint. So to recap..its just a basic material with skylight in brazil turned on. YOu can achieve the same effect in other renderers by turning on global illumination. |
