Would a series of SQL tutorials benefit you?
If I write some tutorials on SQL, some on how to use it with PHP procedurally, and some how to do it OOP, would that benefit you guys? Many of the issues in this forum are basic SQL ones.

I think it would be a good idea Phil. After all a definitive thread could ease some of the latest threads.

That won't stop the questions from coming, the newbs won't read the thread its on, just as they don't read the thread containing all the indexed tutorials.

Vantage, TRUST ME - from someone who modded this forum and thread for half a year, I know people wont read it. You can, however, just link to it on every post
It doesnt help that the thread lost all its formatiting during the switch - we need to fix that. I can edit my posts in there, but not the others anymore.
Agk - if the codebase has the same content/publishing/distribution policies as the magazine I will not be writing for it. I'll psot tutorials here like I used to, but never specifically for the CB.

I think some tutorials would be nice. As you said, we could just link nubs to it if they ask a question about it.

Ya, you should talk about things like joins, multiple inserts, etc. as well, not just the basic insert/update/select.
