Car audio help?

Hey guys, glad to see this thing running again. I just bought 2 subs and an amp, and installed it myself. Only thing is, the subs dont do very much. My 5 1/2" put out more bass... Anyone good with audio equipment?

Your battery might not be strong enough to power the amp. I'd look into adding another battery. That's all I know, I could be wrong.

No, that's not it. If the battery was the problem, it would go strong and then suddenly stop. In car audio, they have batteries, only they like to call them capacitors because car people like to feel special. Anyway, how much power is going to it? Is it hooked up just to your head unit, or do you have an amplifier? Is the amplifier connected correctly? What class is the amplifier?

Thanks for the input. I checked over all the connections, and now it seems to be working a little better... still not as good as i had hoped, but imna go by car toys tomorrow and ask them about it. Though, i do have one more question. I have an aftermarket kenwood deck, and i connected the remote wire to the power antenna. As long as its on Tuner, everything is fine; But when i switch it to CD, the amp turns off... i swear thats the last question :P

Guarantee you got you wires mixed up on the seub...IE: Negative Wire in Positive Terminal... Check yourt wiring, the positive speaker wire should have a + sign on the wire, and if it's not that, go into your local car audio shop. As for the amp turning off...I'm not really sure why it would do that... But why the power antenna hooked up to remote? Usually there is a blue wire on the wiring harness for the power antenna to hook up to (Not blue/white)
