firefox deleting my bookmarks and settings every now and then

The title says it all... Any ideas why? I'm getting tired of re-setting the settings and re-bookmarking my bookmarks.

That happened to me on a really old version, try seeing if you have the newest update, and try uninstalling and then reinstalling. Thats what fixed mine.

it backups your bookmarks everytime u shut down firefox.

Make sure to unistall your old installation before doing so (note that this will not affect your settings, which are stored in the application data directory).

Yeah, so I uninstalled it and completely removed the Firefox folder, and then reinstalled it. I'll see if it happens again.
