Bananaphone Critiques are back
Yes thats right, I am back to critique some sites. There are some rules however.
1. Chocolate pants herself was fine with this thread last time I had it, so don't whine about it existing.
2. If you have feelings, then don't ask me for a critique just to get someone to look at your horrible website that inspires me to introduce an online version of abortion.
3. I will give you the main points of your site, I am not going to spend half an hour looking at your site unless it is mega hot ****, in which case it is likely you just posted becasue you already knew your site is hot ****. Don't whine to me about how you have good code, I don't give a ****. <html></html> is good code, it doesn't mean anyone wants to see the results of it.
4. No, I don't think I'll post MY site for YOU to look at. I have shown people from these forums in the past, but I have no intention in posting things I've made just so you can have your childlike revenge on me for saying something bad about your hosting website dedicated to cloud images.

1. Actually a decently created site, roomy and breathable. The suck by balls bar looks a bit awkward I find but only because the extras bar doesnt have too much structure about it. Only a niggling thing anyway. Given that I can't read the language the site is written in im not sure why anyone should be sucking your balls but I'll assume you have a "good" reason for now. Also the "weight" of image on the left, top side kinda makes the site feel a tad lopsided given all the room on the right.
2. While the font used in the actual white areas for text is decent enough and clear, the menu font feels like it's a bit anorexic and skeletony. Maybe because of the contrast between the bold "logo". But again not really a big deal.
3. Despite the fact that you seem extremely stuck on using this font, which is fine, you use a different link setup under *******s. Which in general actually looks pretty decent, but doesn't really fit in with the rest of the site as well as it could.
4. I find that firefox links are preaching to the converted. Anyone whos going to use firefox will know what it is or where to get it already. Noones going to come to your site and go WOW firefox thats exactly what I was looking for. But hey if you want to show your support in a cliche way, go for it.
In conclusion your site isn't a steaming lump of **** so I couldn't say anything too nasty or entertaining, and you already know that or else you probably wouldn't have posted it. How the site actually handles the content you might have under your menu is yet to be seen however. Nice work, have fun with your balls.

Wow. That was fast, and a very good critique too. The language is just lorem ispum - standard dummy text. As far as sucking balls, I don't know what the deal is. Thanks. I put the Firefox link there just for something that looks nice. I'll ditch it once I have something to fill up my menus.

ahh fair enough, I usually just ramble crap and copy paste for filler text =P To me it seems pretty good and clean for the subject material, should look better with more content as you've thought out your structure and spacing in advance.

I can hardly do my worst when your site isn't a steaming pile of crap. However some points could improve the site as follows.
1. Your header annoys me quite frankly, probably because I am easily annoyed but with those 3 fading balls that lead up to your title part of the gradient draws a very defining line over them. I know it's meant to be that way because they are just at lesser transparencies but hey, it annoys me.
2. Your news headlines are good since I can spot things easily and you make use of the space you have fairly well. I feel that once you get to the actual news item it is a teeny bit mashed in the box though. Also nothing really captivates my imagination enough to read it.
3. Most people have a problem with having too many graphical elements on their page that have no relevance what so ever. You however seem to have the opposite going on. Your site just looks really flat and uninspiring. It is well structured and operational but theres just no bang for the buck here. They take pictures of this website and take it to old peoples homes to help people sleep.
In closing, theres nothing massively wrong with your website but I don't feel it will ever become anything big since it is simply lacking innovation and imagination.
