Hey all you UK members!

Hey I need all UK members to help me out with my MUN class (model UN)

We just got assigned countries for the next 5 weeks and I got the UK (oh yea veto power baby), so I want to know how people who live in the UK feel about allot of issues that are going on around the world and MOST importantly how they feel about issues within their own country. I will be doing allot of research on my own but I don?t think there is anything better then hearing it from people who live there.

Well I'll start by saying I think our country is going to the dogs. The NHS (national health service) which provides free healthcare is going down the pan. It was found that there are more bugs on a hospital floor than on a bus!
The government is still divided over the Iraq war and now we have the fox hunting ban that none of the hunters say they'll follow.

On a positive note we are an island so if anyone tries to invade we'll fight em off!

I think britain feels the same as most countries about what is going on around the world as we have soldiers going and getting killed all the time also just because Tony Blair kisses George Bush's *** lol

We are struggling to fight a few issues such as hunger in third world countries. Which at the moment is being fought through the media to open Tony Blair's eyes with a re-release of the 1984 Band Aid song 'Do They Know It's Xmas?' performed by the new generation of British musicians (including Joss Stone, Coldplay, Robbie Williams etc, The Darkness etc.)

The main thing we are fighting at the moment is obviously the war on terrorism but that's just the same as the most of Europe and Northern America (exc. France).

Issues within the country... binge drinking lol. It's the only issue that people are not really trying to fight as Britain is the binge drinking capital of the world.

Overall I really wouldn't like to live anywhere else. UK are doing EVERYTHING they can to fight important issues unlike a lot of countries out there.

Oh but we could do with getting rid of racism and hooliganism in sports and stuff. I don't go to football (soccer) games anymore because of the dickheads and fat slappers screaming racial abuse at players and starting riots. Each football game takes up like 100+ police officers and there is like 40 of these games every saturday.

^ that was a few of my opinions. lol

Britain sucks. Taxes are too high, we have a government leader thats the human equivilent of baige. (blair)

however we do have a mean fish and chip shop

The UKIP (UK Independance Party) are a bunch of right wing fruit cakes who somehow got a fair few votes in the recent European elections. Since they want Britain to completely leave Europe (please could we just float somewhere a lil warmer kthx) it's weird that they participated in the European elections anyway.
