Bass Amp

Well, for this Christmas I'm getting a bass amp. From everyone who plays bass here, please suggest some bass amps (combos or cab and head) that are powerful and amazing sounding. My limit of spending is about $1300 Canadian (or about $1050 American). I need suggestions because I'm stuck on which amp to buy.

yeha i owuld say try them out, are you going to be playing gigs or will it just be a practice amp?

i have a fender frontman 15b amp for practicing...

Well for now it's for practice, but I will be playing with drums and a guitar so I'm going to need a loud amp.

My brother had a good sized fender that worked well for him, but I suppose a fender isn't really a unique suggestion...
