'Beautiful' Wallpaper

A fairly new piece, all comments welcome. Thanks in advance for the review.

it's okay, a little fake looking though, you need to make sure the dark values of the photograph match the dark values of the manipulated parts - see how the shadow of the nose is fairly light compared to everything else?

also the blood on her right eye [ left side ] is way too fake looking - add more shading to them - change the red to a multiply layer - make make it as if its actually touching the skin - as if its smudged on some areas. good start though.

Some parts are pretty good, such as the stitches on the lips. However, basically everything else looks too fake... not to mention the piece itself is very cliche...

Thanks for the comments, as far as things looking fake, such as the blood: I agree, I never liked it, but it's all a process of learning. I wasn't trying to achieve an overall sense of realism, although I guess it does appear that way. In anycase, it was a practice in technique, which evidently I need to do more of. Again, thanks for the honesty, only helps me get better.

It does look a little fake. Add more shadows and that will probably be fixed.

I'm going to do the blood part over again, maybe take it out entirely. Again, I'm no exactly trying to achieve a sense of realism, as that would be impossible given that her face is crumbling and has cracks in it. Disturbing, grungy, a little out of place yes, but not necessarily full on reality. Again, thanks for all the comments, I'll try to redo the peice and see what happens.
