i don?t think marijuana should be legal apart from for medical purposes
My friends dad has M.S and if he didn?t get some thing called betainterferon then they were gona go get him a lot of marijuana
Why don?t I think it should be legal for every one well these reasons
1 it?s easy enough to get hold of (I can think of 6 people I know on a personal level off the top of my head)
2 it would be taxed to hell just like cigarettes
3 I all ready don?t like stoners (I don?t like many people who conform to a distinct group) so I don?t want more of them about
4 any where that would sell it would get knocked off so quick then the marijuana would be sold cheep
In principal I go in for legal for all but there?s to many problems

Marijuana would still remain even withs legalization, and the people who would eventually oppose it would be the drug dealers themselves sinncce the government would take teh profit they once made. Just look back at how the revolution of the usa started, the monopoly by Britain was really a benefit for the average colonist, it really hurt the smugglers that began to get rich.

You don't know what you're talking about do you? You're the only person I've ever seen who would want to legalize it to "get rid of it". How would that work? Everyone I've seen that wants it legalized is because they realize the law is really stupid and a waste of taxpayer's dollars.

legalizing weed in any country that has an out of control drug problem. would be stupid.
a lot of people use weed to make money. they sell it to kids. if they legalize it these people will no longer be able to make money from it. what will they turn to? different... higher class drugs... speed... P, extacy.... etc etc to make money
would you want your kids getting ahold of those kinda drugs as easily as you or anyone can get ahold of weed right now

So you would agree with the notion that Marijuana is a gateway drug?
It has been proven many times over and over that it IS NOT a gateway drug.
I smoke weed, and I have a unique position on it. I couldn't really care whether it is legalized or not. It would be nice if it was, but it is not difficult to find, nor is it a problem where I live. Police don't stop you from using it, as long as you aren't driving, or selling it. Which to me are both very fair.
Mind you, I am Canadian. Marijuana legalization would never work in the States, but Canada, I could forsee it happening, in about 100 years.
Alright thats all I can think of ... off to get stoned! Peace.::angry::

here in new zealand a lot of people use it as a sorce of income. because they cant find a job or wont work. if they legalized it all of a sudden it is 100% easier to get right?
thus people arnt able to make profit from it. the only thing now they have left to do to make profit from is selling higher class drugs.

I do not think legaliziing it would make it 100% easier to get it. I do think it would increase a great amount but not that drastic.
Alot of people would still look down on people that do drugs or refuse to have anything to do with it becuase of how harmful it is and what their personal view on it is.
If alot of the people did not make a profit from it would they go to "higher class drugs"? I do not think so, yes some might but just becuase they sold pot does not mean they would start selling more harmful ones, maybe not making a profit would make them want to go and get a carreir. All drugs are not the same so people act differently with different drugs, when it comes to selling and useing them.

but think about it. the people who currently do drugs, will be able to get it for a hell of a lot cheaper. these people will spend the same amount of money to get more to do it more reguarly. and those of them who use it once n a while... most likely will still do it... once n a while... the people who were "scared of getting court" will now just do it...
these is a lot of things to consider it.
what does the dealer care about you. hes making money. he doesn;t care. the only thing he cares about is if you come back to him and buy more or not. to him its money.
