3 of my sites

I could use help on what to improve on 3 of my sites:

Okay... I'm off!

First site first. When I hit the splash page, I noticed that the picture and the site don't... I dunno, 'blend'. The picture is monochrome and has a slightly 'grunge' feel to it. I though to myself, "less grunge, and sepia." To my suprise, that's exactly what you did... On the next page. I think you should do that to the picture in the splash page as well.

Anyway, on to the site part of the site. The banner, I think, is far too large. It takes up more than a third of the window. This may nice looking for people with better resolutions, but I'm at 1024x768, and it's just too huge.

That picture that acts as a column is fine except for the fact that the legs end abruptly.

Finally... Colors. Consider them a bit more. I'm not saying that a exclusively tan site is impossible, but it can be tricky. Just consider it.

Okiedokie, next site. It's functional, but it seems disorganized and thrown together. Try messing with headers and whatnot to organize things a bit more, and also realign some stuff. Not bad, but still needs some work.

Finally, the third site. Firstly, the picture is faded. Really faded. Even when I move my browser to my lower-brightness monitor, it's still too pale.

Also, there's this white... ick, to the right of everything. Try alligning what you have in the middle and putting something else at either end... A continuation of the sandstone-looking border is preferable, but other things will suffice.

I agree, the header is large, but I love her pics

Maybe I'll chop about 100 pixels off the height, I'll check on that.

I only finished that site recently, and before I was going to mess around more, I wanted to ask what was missing, and almost everyone I asked said: header.
I have already made a header, but i'm tweaking it at the moment, so I'll post a little update sometime tomorrow .

And if might I ask, what do you mean with realign some stuff? What exactly?

Yes, the picture is faded, that's exactly my intention, something the sun does to polaroids

I only finished that layout yesterday, and I'm working to add a new picture to the corkboard, and adding a background, same reason as before: before I was going to mess around more, I wanted to ask what was missing.

You named a few of the things I was planning to change, and you added a few other things as well.

It's a bit of a welcome picture, and to make people wary they are on a portfolio. I'm thinking of removing that picture when my header is finished, not sure though.

Realign, realign... Well, when you click wallpapers (I'm working off memory right now; I'm too lazy to open up another tab. I think this is right...) there's a recent additions thing on the left and a thumbnail gallery to the right. The thumbnail gallery kind of sticks out below the recent submissions thing, and it's a subtle thing that, I think, adds a bit a disorganization to the page. It sounds nitpicky, but it's just the most obvious example.

Also, the tack on the third site is weird looking. Really weird looking. I blame the all-blackness of it.

I think you're referring to the Manipulations page, the gallery is a bit off compared to the additions. I'll see what I can do.

I can't make tacks.. I've tried so hard to make one that's not just a circle pasted on a piece of paper, lol

Ok, I made some changes:

- New mouseover image on the splash page.
- Reduced the height of the headers by 100 pixels.

Still trying to find a decent new pic for the "cut-off-leg" pic
