lol, yeah. I can say right now that I won't like it because I strongly oppose splash pages/graphics because they are an obstacle more than anything and add nothing to the page but another mouse click for the user. Your best bet is to just leave it out or apply it somewhere else.

The colors clash with the style. If you want to use blue and brown together you're playing with a very fragile color combo that's hard to pull off. These two colours require alot of color and composition insight to properly use together. Obviously you failed there, cos it looks very disturbing on the eye...

I suggest making the brown darker and making it another hue (dark blue? monochromatic can be refreshing...)

Color combo reminds me of a Hollister shirt...
