Building a flash site
Hi,
I'm quite familiar in creating websites with the use of dreamweaver/photoshop. I'd like to go further and use Flash MX.
Could anyone point me to any tutorials where i could view how I could build a flash site from sratch.

the scripting's outdated, but still a good tute to give you an idea of how to begin.. Of course there are probably as many different approaches/styles as there are flash designers, but this is one idea..

Ah alright thanks. I'll check that out. Funny how they have so many sites on photoshop and dreamweaver on "how to create a website" but so very little for Flash.
Or maybe I'm just not exploring enough.
Any other sites? Anyone?

The best way to learn how to build a full flash website would be to practice some of the tutorials for different elements that could make up your website and then you can piece them together however you want.
Here are some good sites with tutorials for all aspects of Flash:
www.kirupa.com (mentioned above)
www.actionscript.org
www.flashkit.org
www.webwasp.co.uk
These are just a few of many sites offering tutorials that will walk you through how to make almost anything you want to include in your site. Don't be afraid and experiment with different things within Flash.

I think the reason there are not many tutorials on this subject is because flash is one of the very rare apps that will generate a website with literally the press of a single button (i.e. publish). So the real trick is knowing what you want to do (e.g. load a movie or graphic or sound, import some text, add a link, etc. etc..) and searching for a tutorial on that specific subject (in which case, you'll find bijillions)..
