CD Cover

I was assigned to design a single CD release cover for the band 'A Better Goodbye'. After roughly two hours of work this is what I came up with. And even though it's not entirely finished I thought I'd post the sample for some reviewing.

It's kind of hard to critique the cover as related to theband without some backstory on the band.

I mean the image could rock but (this is only an example) say it's a country rock band then I would say the cover is no good.

From the look of it though I would assume they were an emo/hardcore goth rock band of some sort.

Decent image... i would pick it up and look at it in a cd store

needs a focal point.. something attractive that will make a customer at HMV to say HEY thats a cool thing!! and chose it amongst many other covers.

The band is an emo/screamo/hardcore type band. I guess I should have mentioned that. And now I have to look into that focal point idea...

really nice cover, I like it

maybe if you'd make the writing as if it was washed-up, as beaten as the background... I don't know if you see what I mean... and maybe make the word RED drip a bit, kind of to make a link with the stains.... just some suggestions

but I really like it, great job
