Well, I use Cox Cable for my ISP and have been for 4 years or something. They just upgraded their service and made it 5mb download and 756kbs Upload. This is a huge improvement from what i used to have. I can totally feel the change, I actually get 1mb a second when downloading some files and its just so much quicker. Im really happy they made the change.

Just felt like sharing.

Holy crap... 756kbps is around my download speed....

Sykil: kbps or KBps?

I live near this one city that has recently redone their entire city with fiber optic lines and they are offering a limited few people internet over it. I am pissed because it is only like 5-10 miles away. Arg. Maybe I will try to convince my mom into getting high-speed cable. Our internet has been making us angry for a while. Maybe it might just be our router, though. We often have the internet connection completely shut down and the router us unaccessable at times and then we just turn it off and back on and then it works again. I upgraded the router firmware and then only one person could get on at a time and it was really slow and acted really weird so I downgraded back to the old firmware. With this, I think that what happens now may just be the firmware or the router in general. I still want faster internet because I am not completely satisfied with anything. But it still beats 56k in every way possible.

kbps. Sometimes I'll get about 1000 down, but never much more.
