...Mines different. Mine contain more than three words, and I don't have roll overs, plus mine contains no "attempted" photoshop-ness.

Age and amout of expertise holds absolutely no relevance here.

Also, keep in mine that we are commenting on Spook_2004's design, not anybody else's.

I know, but I was just pointing out that Drix's comment applied to his own personal website as well.

Spooky you should really look into add more depth to the boxes. Textured or lines or something. Just use lite and dark to do so.

Hmm, can everyone keep the comments on topic!? There are other areas of TF you can debate in, or why not use PM's!?

First Spooky, I get the idea you're after but I think you are about two years behind in this case. It's nothing new and if you're aiming for roll over effects, css is a better way to go than javascript that might not work for all visitors...

Secondly, ImageReady is a fine program to slice up website interfaces and the code is easily tweaked if you're going for css and valid standards.

My suggestion would be to play some more with some more attractive graphics and create a more inviting site! Grey can be stylish, but your site is too black and white at the moment imho!

One thing that I think you should change is the MSN contact...
I probably won't sign up to a web hosting service who provides his MSN as contact...
Too unprofessional

Use an E-mail adress from your host (most paid hosts provide atleast 1) or one from your ISP...

Through my experiences with my own ventures, customers actually ask for AIM or MSNs over the phone, since they like to ask questions that are not via a phone or in person. That and email is rather slow.

I'd suggest to post your contact information in some other mannered tho.

Hmm, I've had more than 200 paying customers over the years and some regulars and I've never used AIM or MSN in contact with them. It's unprofessional and a waste of time.

Best way is to scrap the mail link alltogether and have some sort of online form for potential customers. Some folks might get hooked on your style when they're surfing on a computer where they don't have access to their own mail or for that sake wants to use their hotmail etc account at that moment...

There are free forms out there...

and theres nothing wrong with imageready. some of the younger designers just havent matured.

id suggest evening out the contrast and looking into more graphics. perhaps a more dominant logo.

It is very narrow minded of you to attempt to make remarks about their work based on what they use. If you have a problem with it, then it is your problem. That does not mean that if someone chooses to use it, you get to remark about it.

jjbennett seems to be the most immature person in this thread

if you read erics post, he just implies that imageready isnt the best tool for the job. it would have been easier and quicker to do it with css.

so dont look for an excuse to point out someones age, its stupid, especially when he's right.

i would add a gradient on the p4hosting.us thing or make a logo... thats allways better i think

add some lines between the boxes and make the spaces between them thiner

add a background with a gradient too Tongue

font a little smaller - make it brighter

like eric said add some pictures

maybe u should make the boxes smaller - sooooo much empty place there Sad

just my 2 cents... ^_-
