Hmm.. looks pretty good if that's really your first site ever
I probably would change the header and nav fontf for it's hard to make out what it says. The orangey sub-headers, I would make it a bit brighter and bold. Uhh.. I would write more but I gotta go for now hehe..

although i can read it fine, the text is kind of small (and the coding is nasty, no offense - it looks like dreamweaver or somethign). try 11px instead of 10px for the font-size

dreamweaver was designed for making websites. if it works, so what.

i wasn't saying it's not ok - i grew up on WYSIWYG editors myself, remember AOL Press
and Dreamweaver 3
(i moved to html-kit because it's a crisp and easier way of looking at how things work). but don't get used to just purely working visually. have the dual view open (coding + WYSIWYG) so you can see what and how your code looks.

I am going to have to go with everyone else on this. The content text is too small. The header text i cant read, also the image to the left is all jagged.

not to bad. the only major problem i had with it, is the navigation and header font. try something different. also i'd say lose the navigation at the bottom, it's not really needed.
good job.
: )

Being your first site EVER, I am extremely impressed at the overall look and functionality. The colors are nice, and the "NEWS AND CONTENT" is a nice touch that many newbies fail to even use this idea, let alone make it nice.
The code will be somewhat a hassle to edit, or even look at -- Dreamweaver does a horrible job at making the source code nicely spaced and clean.
For future reference: Stay away from using JavaScript to make a whole site center -- its bad for people with JavaScript disabled.
