Question about Screenshots.

It might be a simple question but I can't figure it out. Before I bought PhotoShop CS, (I have Windows XP) I was able to take screenshots and view them in the folders it took them to through the Windows Fax Viewer thing that is default with XP, but now since I installed CS, when I take a screenshot it saves it as a .tga file and if I double click it, it opens it in CS which takes too long. If I select it to view under the Viewer, it says no image available, so basically I have to take a screenshot, open the .tga file in CS, then save it as a .gif, .png, or .jpg, any idea how to fix this or disable it and put it back to normal? I usually do screenshots on Battlefield 1942 (PC GAME) and it's too long for me when I do lots of screenshots, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I wonder if it is in your config file for the game and not to do with PS CS. I know that some games have the option to change the default Screenshot file format from .tga by changing a line in the .cfg.

This is how the command in the .cfg for Q3 and Sof2 work, I'm not sure about bf1942:

/bind F12 "screenshotjpeg" (something like that anyway)

Maybe you had something like that and the .cfg file has changed so it's reverted the screenshot files to the .tga default again. Since the picture viewer can't read .tga files, windows opens the program you are able to view it with. In this case, PS CS...just a thought Smile
