Synchronizing.NET (need wording feedback)

http://synchronizing.net/

Hello,

I just started this community Monday and I'd like to make sure it has one of the most original and unique content on the web. (wording wise)

I, myself, weighted all words carefully to make it extremely unique compared to the other forums' usual wording.

This forum is soon to get a lot of traffic and signups, I've implemented a point system that will enable the people with the most posts and threads created to win great prices such as free hosting, free domains and finally real money!

I'm also looking for a partner is anyone is interested to seriously get this off the ground, it should be geenrating a good amount fo money and traffic quite soon!

Criticize! Don't be shy to join the forum also! Grin

Regards,
Jerome Gravel-Niquet

You can't really judge the content of a forum until people actually sign up and start posting...

I thought I made it clear it was about the wording.

Hmm... I'll modify a bit my post!

Thank you.

Yea, the skin doesn't look too original, the colors and style are so overused, that forum won't get past a few dozen members.

oh well. The forums design is nice looking. But yes, this design manner is used WAY to much. Not unique or interesting. Sorry. Perhaps if there was "more to it."

Ok, I asked for a custom skin to be made!

I have quite a high budget and am ready to put in a lot for this community... now can I get real critics on the wording?

Thank you.

The wording can't make a crap site good, neither can a good site make a crap worder seem good (not sure if I said that right).

The skin is used by hundreds of forums already and personally I wouldn't go there.

It seems like you've put all of your eggs in one basket and I bet this site will never really take off. Offering hosting/money might seem good, but you will loose a lot once people find a way around (if they ever go there).

My bet would be to start small and simple then get yourself noticed and grow. Remember - Slow and Steady wins the race. You'll burn out too fast if you just plough in.

Good Luck

It's really hard to say. I look at the forums and it just looks like another everyday, run of the mill forums that will end up dying out in 1 month to a year. I browse through the topics and they all are really basic topics which if I really wanted to look into them.. There are no threads.

The forums isn't very inviting to say the least, and doesn't have much to entertain me for the few seconds I'm there. You have to beable to make it friendly and make it so people actually want to be a part of it.
