First vector attempt. Phony car ad.
Let me know what you guys think. My very first portfolio piece. It took me 2 days to do this.
Hub caps were HARD so I just ran some filters, and doing all the lighting and shading really made me get familiar with the pen tool, FAST.
Here is the picture. Constructive criticism well appreciated.

Pretty badass for your first attempt!
Very nice work on the windshield and wheels...
Maybe get rid of/blur out the large shadow on the lower left... seems slightly out of place with the rest of the background realistic.
As a portfolio piece you may want to work on the type, make it a bit more professional, like something you see in a working ad. You clearly spent a good amount of time on the car, but it looks like you just slapped text up there in a few seconds.
Excellent work.

Thats pretty good for a first vector.
You should try and do the headlights, though.
Seems incomplete without them..
The background is a nono to me..
But otherwise, good job.

Thanks, guys. Yes I was upset that I didn't have the fonts. I will spend a good amount of time hunting for good free fonts. I guess I published it prematurely. I'll work on all those things.
Thanks again.
Hopefully an edit bumps
I fixed the head lights, the shadow and added some extra reflections and shadows as well. From all the fonts that I downloaded and looked at, I thought Sage would be best. If anyone has suggestions on the font please let me know.
This added like an extra trillion layers on my photoshop file heh.

I think you should have vectored the bg... I mean leaving part of the picture ( or the whole thing ) still visible to me is kind of unprofessional and cheap... but it's a really nice vector, looks very shiny and reflective...

Well its not to say that leaving it as it is doesn't look good, but I'm saying that when it's all said and done, leaving the original image visible defeats the purpose doesn't it?

It's a matter of taste. Personally I like the background as is.
Great work on the touchups, by the way.
