Burning/Glowing Color

Hi i want to know how to set those glowing splines.
I tried it about one hour in PS7 without luck, maybe you could say me the way.

Here the site/ just the first pic with the balrog.

Paint your stuff on a layer.
Duplicate that layer.
Select top (duplicated) layer and set Blending mode to Overlay / Color Dodge.
Gaussian Blur the same layer by an amount that pleases your eyes Wink

You can also just add 'Glow' to layers using layer effects - double click on your layer and check 'Outer Glow' - adjust as required.

now another dumb question... can i smooth a line done with a pencil like in 3dsmax6 ??

and another question:

How to convert colored pictures into black/white ones ?

First question - dont really understand it !?

Second one -> Image -> Adjustments -> Desaturate. This works on the whole layer or whole image if you only have 1 layer.

I mean with the first question simple how to smooth the pixels,

like if i used the pixel pencil and want to make the edges smooth.

and another question, first thx,

Is there a possiblity to show only the outlines of a picture..

this would help me to remodel 2d art to 3d models.
