new band layout

alright, not sure how this layouts going to be taken but .. this is one of my towns local bands/my friend's band, the hidden theme of the site is a stalker-ish girl's obsession, and how it became morbid and turned to hatred (which is why all the pictures have scratched out faces)

when someone navigates through each of the different sections, the heart spins, and about every 5 minutes a fly comes out, lands on the heart and flies away.

i just wanted some c+c before i fully finish this site, to know if theres any work i should do in photoshop before its brought over to flash. thanks.

I think you went a little over the top with the graphics. I couldn?t keep my attention on the content. How are you going to blend this with a background? Also, I don?t see the band?s name any where. I suggest you take the heart out, its huge, and a cheap effect isn?t what you should be focusing your attention on. What is on this website that will make me want to hear the band? Or, for the people who already know them - What is on this website that will keep me interested in the band?

and aw ;x the heart has to stay because their new cd's called manufactured hearts, i noticed the band name missing about a week ago too, so im just going to scribble that in. the websites' main purpose is just to keep people informed of show events, whats going on with the band, a place to hold mp3's of theirs, and when new cd's/demos will be coming out.

im either going to make this so there are stretch areas in the site so that it will fill the entire page, or im going to make it look like a framed picture on a wall. ill focus on that more later though.

it's cool graphics, good job on that. but the images are way to much... is that a heart?

I guess if you want and need to keep all the images, make sure that all the elements are in the correct 'order'. Ie - the heart is part of the background, yet it's competiting for the viewer's attention with the content. The menu is too blended in with the background and so people are just gonna look over that.

What you could do is seperate the menu from the rest of the background image and you could do this by floating it or adding some padding and space between the nav bar and thhe header image. As for the content, I don't really know if you're gonna be putting that in a frame. As for the heart, I'm thinking further desaturate it, but leave the stains and maybe grunge it up a little.
