looks pretty good so far i'm thinking of changing the value of the navigation so that it stands out. if you want to keep it, it would be really helpful if you apply some rollover buttons or at least give indication that there's a button there... looks really dark

meh.

make the purple of everything a little darker. it'll be easier on the eyes.. and you can use a light purple font for your base text and it'll contrast good. D: just my suggestion(s)

I think that the navbar needs to have more defined buttons - I don't like it when they are just text on a bar, rather than actual buttons - to me it still seems like a WIP - I'd add more detail to it, like a title bar at the top of the content box, etc.

The way I see it, it's a good start - keep working at it
