Which Wacom for a Beginner.....
I am really wanting to get a wacom tablet, but I've never used one and I can't really spend alot of money on one. Which would you recommend for a beginner? Also, if I were to get a smaller, and thus cheaper one, is it harder to draw a large image with them? I'm not exactly sure how they work. When you get to the edge of the tablet and you still need to draw more on that line what do you do? Also, does anyone know where I can get one cheap, or is anyone wanting to sell their old one?
Thanks!!

Well I bought me a Wacom Graphire 2 and i think they are great. They don't cost a lot and are really good to work with.
Here's something i'm working on now.

LOL... That's really nice. LOL
Sorry... I just think it looks really funny, being angry yet childish... lol.
Anywho my 2 cents about tablets is: draw your sketches on paper, scan them, and then mouse paint them in PS. No need for tablets whatsoever.

Go with the graphire3. Its not expensive and the worksspace
is already enough for beginners.

Alright Thanks for your suggestions. I think I'm gonna look into the graphire3. One thing I still don't get is exactly how they work. Like when you come to the edge of the tablet but still need to continue the line, how do you do that?

You may want to check This out from Nisis. This is what i use, dirt cheap compared to Wacom. Although their probably not as good as them. Still i think you pay alot for the Wacom name. Its perfect for the beginner, like my self to:)
BTW: Wacom are seriously over priced in the UK

I can't swear to it but, I don't believe Nisis distribute, outside Europe. A friend of mine,in London, raved about the G6, he bought, and what a value it was. But I couldn't get any info on them, on this side of the pond. :

If I was just starting, I'd go with a small Graphire, and if I found it too confining, I'd dump it on some dopey relative, and move up the scale to Intuos country, but have your Mastercard buffed up, beforehand.
