looks good. but i have one question. is this whole broken up debris type art a trend or something? because this is about the 10th one ive seen almost exactly the same type. 3 of them were blue as well.

I dunno, i never made the render as the description says. When you look at this kind of stuff, you're always going to see something that was familiar from something else you've seen. It's all down to the effect used in 3dsm/c4d. No one ever says "Oh look, theres a Trend. Let's follow it", people like the look of these things, so they make it.

lol, yes they do! Everyone does it, so people just want to fit in!

You didn't even do the render, which is the only cool part of that piece. The brushing could use some work, because it's too white...no depth.

No they don't. You make the idea way too simplistic, but it's a pretty obvious solution to see that people make similar stuff because that stuff looks nice. Also about the image, theres also different shades of blue in the brushing in the background as well. As far as the render comment goes, i will agree with you, the render is the certerpiece of the entire concept of the piece, but it takes more than a render to make a piece look cool, brushing adds character to a piece, and IMO i've accomplished everything i wished. I will try out your idea of using different colours but i usually use colour balance layers.

Dude, even if 3D trendwhore does look nice...so? Not if EVERYONE does it! Then it looks unoriginal and uninspired. Art is supposed to be about exploring your own self in it...and if you're doing the same thing over and over, and repeating everyone else's images....then what's that say about you??

It says you're a sheep, and wondering what the next trend will be because you're too unoriginal to come up with your own style.

Kinda hypocritical don't you think? I mean your work isn't exactly original, it's either Photo Manipulation or 3d Abstract for most, and the whole eyes concept is way too overused. I know this is a thread about my piece, but if even a Moderator here is too stupid to know what Constructive Critisism is, then why pretend to value their opinion?

Can you honestly say that people will mindlessly follow a trend just because other people are doing it? You honestly think that someone will give up any personal tastes they have in Art so they can make abstract art? Since you seem to enjoy putting people in the firing line, lets use your signature as an example. Perhaps not the best example to use, as Signatures don't really mean much to an artist, but a manipulated eye stock? You can comment on me being a sheep when you're using one of the oldest tricks in the book. I think we've found one of the worst cases of Bigotry in this forums history!

Congratulations. You've not only made yourself out to be a complete moron with no respect for another artists work, you've allowed your own work to go under unfair critisism. You see, this is why acting too big for your boots gets you in trouble. Anyways to clear this up, i'm going to report these posts to other members of staff to see if they can be removed, no use ruining a perfectly good thread on such an immature squabble.
