Hello again rkosmic,
I'm afraid you are wrong when you say "this is so easy". As far as I can tell, you are proving little to nothing in your supposedly superior posts aside from giving me a little reminder as to why it is that you have managed to gather 9 warning points for yourself.
Welcome back by the way.
"If Clinton had only 1 term behind him at the last election and he ran instead of Gore, he would have won."
pure speculation based on nothing.
this is so easy.
Pure speculation, sure. But it is based on the fact that Clinton was a popular president. Even after the whole scandal, a large majority of people liked him, and would have probably voted him for another term if it were possible. Especially during the 2000 election, where both candidates were simply not good, but one of them had to win. Bush only 'won' because Gore was so stale and impersonable- boring, really. However, Bush didn't even win the popular vote, and I fail to see how a person who just barely won in a competition against Gore is anything to write home about.
As an example, pretend there is a footrace against two of the best athletes in the special olympics. One of them has to win, but that doesn't mean he is good. Hes just a little bit better than worse.
As far as the topic, I think Bush will probably win again. People don't like change during a time of international conflict. I sure hell am not voting for bush. I'm voting for whoever has the best chance at beating bush, and that happens to be kerry at this point.

"supposedly superior posts aside"
um i dont remember saying that my posts were superior, but some of these people are so easy.
its funny how most of them look at it as being attacked instead of being encouraged to step up the competitiveness here. maybe comptetition makes thier "self esteem" low,, i dont know,, nor should i be concerned with it.
"Basically for the past 70 some odd years, almost everyone who has run for re-election has been re-elected. "
this is the ONLY evidence you can come up with that people dont like change? basically?

So therefore the ones in charge must be right, if no one likes change! How ingenious! :hmm

Not everything is white or black, but I'd vote Bush anyway if I was old enough to register. I don't like the idea of switching Presidents in the middle of a war and all the other stuff going on in Iraq, and besides that I'm not a big fan of Kerry (or democrats in general).

Considering our leaders are elected by the people (with the exception of one) that's pretty strong suggesting that people don't like change.

"that's pretty strong suggesting that people don't like change. "
in your opinion, basically.
i basically disagree.
basically, people dont want to change if it means work on thier part. changing a president is something that doesnt require work. so in MY opinion is irrelevant as an arguement.

Although I personally support Kerry, I feel Bush will most likely be relected. Realisticaly, a administration change during foreign combat is not a smart move.

I concur. Hopefully by the end of Bush's second term--provided he gets re-elected--this will all be settled, though, so we can make a smooth transition to a new president.
