Rico Designs V.2 Launched! Well...nearly....

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if you got any thoughts on version two of Rico Designs, its my own personal graphics site that will contain my online portfolio.

Your more than welcome to register and chat along with us all, i'd love to hear your thoughts on the site and its design.

Its nearly finished, just gotta do a few things like a new header, splash page, few little forums posts and tweaks but should be done soon.

Hope you all like it, and i'd really like your critism on it :d

On the splash page raise the "enter".

Im on a pretty high screen resolution, and I still had to scroll down to see it, most people will think its an "Under Construction" banner.

Your splash design is too cluttered. Also, try changing the design in it, because it looks like you just did a couple tutorials and slapped them into an image.

If you're going to have an online portfolio, then you shouldn't have it on a forum. You want to display your skills, so you should build your own page.

I just like the great community you get from a good forum. You'll know what i mean if you were a good member of gr.net for years

Definately change the splash, it looks like you've just raided Voidix.

I think keep it along the same design, but not so obvious that it's a couple of tutorials stuck together. I do like the enter button though, classy.::bandit::

Definitely try something different with the splash. It doesn't even jive with the anime look on the next page.

Also try spicing up the forum header a little. I see a lot of blue nothingness, find something to stick in that spot.

I have redone both the splash page and the forum header. I have also done a few little rd.net personalisations such as some new buttons and general images around the site.

Well, It's on a forums, so that's bad. Umm, the header in the site looks really chunky and the transistion isn't smooth.

The community is building up

I've yet to fully launch Rico Designs, going to have a cool launch contest, some goodies to give away hopefully. Some advertising and such
