I was bored waiting for chapelle's show to come on so I just messed around with a brush.

Ares, I love your dig, but it is too big. Max height is 50, max file size is (I believe) 15KB. Need to make it a bit smaller

As far as this piece is concerned... I can tell you didn't spend much time on it. It's a couple colors plus filtering. So what?

How constructive can you be with someone who just plopped some brushes on the screen, used the twirl filter, and then called it a picture?

as contructive as maybe commenting on his colour choice.. giving him some advice on how to improve, or simply advising him(nicely!!) to maybe step it up a notch, and learn to paint something more advance...

not bluntly stating arrogent remarks..

p.s. jadow, those examples i jsut gave are directed at you.. you should learn to actually use the brush getter, and not just swirl it...

I agree with Mr. Boom, there was a post in the water cooler a while ago about this asking if we are too hard on people new to the site and saying stuff like, "How long did it take you to do that? 3 minutes?". I know that it may be plain and nothing special, but you can say things in a more polite way and let people feel more welcome to the site and come back for more, rather than making yourself seem mean.

Keep working at it.

Well he is the one that said it took him a few minutes. Had he not mentioned anything about how long it took him I would of given him some advice. Spending 7 minutes on something doesn't warrant me criting it.
