indesign question

I have Adobe InDesign 2.02 (Mac version) and for the life of me I cannot find the Character palette to change the font. I know this sounds very trivial but it has frustrated me.

What is the best way to bring up the Character palette? And are there any shortcuts for it and/or is this the correct way to change the font of a text.

Look in the manual for some sort of guide to the tools or menus. If for some reason you don't have the manual...

Look at the current indesign site: http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/main.html

and see if you can find some help or guides there.

My professor has the manuals and I was too lazy to ask. I searched the help it comes with but that sucked. On Adobe's site I couldn't find anything for older versions. I don't have CS our lab only has 2.02 (CS is considered 3.x)

ok, I tried apple+t and all I got was the text wrap. You would think that would work. It shouldn't be this hard to find the character palette!
