My new site

Hey,

Well I decided to make a site that sells website templates. I decided that the template monster affiliate program was the best to use so I made it based around that. It has taken me quite a while to get the design the way I like it and all the content in.

So without further ado here it is..

Professional Templates

I am not trying to advertise, I just want a few honest opinions from a business prospective on how well i designed my site. Such things like is it easy to navigate and understand? Are the colors good, font easy to read etc...?

Also what type of other type of promotional ideas do you think I should use in order to gain customers? I need some advice Smile..

Anything is appreciated!

I'd say far from perfect.

First of all, the header is really weak. There's nothing attractive or novel about a blue sky filled with clouds, nor is there a reason to have a reflection of the "logo" text.

Also, the blue is too much, but that is purely a personal preference (oooooh, alliteration).

The drop-down menus should have custom search graphics.

What I do like is your navigation.

I really want to know why you're seeling your best templates and using a weak one for your actual design. No one will buy them if your actual design is poop.

Great idea on the header Smile Navigation is great. The content arrangment I just dont like. Maybe try moving the featured templates up a bit and such. Good luck, lookin good.

Dude, my eyes are TORTURED by that intensive blue. Geez, it's just too bright man... make it paler, darker...

From all other points of view, I think that you've got a great site there sir.

Hmm, now that I look at the header, the text is just thrown there, maybe you could align it differently, or choose a special, "fancy" font.

TOO BLUE!!!

make it paler, and add some pizazz (color other than blue :grumpy) to the general layout to the site. atm the template showcases are really the only attractive part of the site.

the layout itself is efficient, but MORE COLOR AND LESS BLUE

I would either make the entire layout liquid or none of it. As it is now in Firefox, the header area expands to fill the screen, but the content areas are fixed width. If you go with fixed width, center it and try a nice background image. The only other suggestion would be to lose the google ads, or if they can be customized to not show ads for other template sites, keep them.

Good luck, the blue is not too harsh for me on a CRT. Maybe on an LCD it would be a bit much.
