Computer powers off...
Two days ago, my computer turned off by itself. Ever since then, it's been doing it over and over, and it's gotten to the point to where it won't stay on more than 30 seconds, once fully booted up...Is something running hot? What part do you think it is?
I haven't done anything funky to my computer lately, I always keep it nice and cool - dust free... And no, I haven't tried overclocking.
The first time it did turn off, was in the middle of a movie.
Thanks

Interesting. I've experienced this in a few different settings, and have had two different results that worked.
First was replacing the power supply, because it was going out. This isn't necessarily your problem, but it's something I'd check out as you said it was working fine before.
Second issue was that the computer had an onboard cooling system built into the motherboard. It kicked in one day when things got a little warm, tried to run a fan that wasn't there...it figured out there was no fan on that socket and just powered down (as a safety precaution). Took a while to figure out. I discovered it by grabbing a bunch of old fans and plugging one into every available mobo fan socket. Presto, problem solved.
Of course you don't have to have the fans actually plugged in; you could just jump all of the fan sockets and see if the computer stays on; probably the easiest way to determine if this is your problem. If it isn't, chances are your power supply is going out.
