Alien/Creature Drawing

I need to draw or come up with some kind of creature for class. I have no idea where to start. Theres no way in hell I can draw an alien, I suck at drawing. Are they usually made in Illustrator or photoshop? Can anyone come up with something cool? Full body figure, kinda like here http://www.freewebs.com/chad_hunt/creature-color0.gif

It just has to be original and creative

Any ideas?

This isn't a photoshop question. Hopefully, some mod can move it to Beginner's Corner or the Jobs category - you'll find a more appropriate response there.

Photoshop won't make you any better drawer you are, it only makes you worse.. see you'll have to use mouse..

ide advise just drawing it up on paper, because you will have slightly more skill on pencil to paper because you have been using that ur whole life..
then scan it in(if you have a scanner)
then trace in photoshop if u want to make it digital..
