Just started 2 days ago...any thoughts?

I am working on this site for a friend...it isn't close to being completed. Spelling not checked and the nav is not linked.

You can navigate the pages with the site map (bottom left side)

2 things I am looking for if you have a sec?

1.Pricing for the work. Package price? By the hour?

2.Your thoughts about the look of the site. Layout?flow?ease of use.

Keep in mind... only started 2 days ago.

All made in PS and the html is created in Netobjects Fusion. Learning DWMX.. still a long way to go there.

This site will be live for about 6 months and then round 3 will be a MIVA site.

i dont really like it, not a fan of the header, too patriotic

umm, navigatin through the site will be easy once the links are done, but i think the nav looks a bit cheap, along with the rest of the site, it is such a standard layout, but then again your target audience isnt gonna be webdesigners

it has its good and its bad features.
its a good site for a 2 day job, but i just aint a fan of the layout.

Thank you for the comments. The site is going to be even more generic once I place it in a MIVA store front. So...

The whole idea is to have a basic e-commerce site down the road. I am more concerned about how the products look than anything else at the moment.

Not my business, the guy who makes these display cases does outstanding work!

What would you suggest for a better nav? I am using sothink dhtml to make the menu system.

well if the site is meant to be simple, then i guess the menu matches perfectly, and would be the most user friendly..

umm, possibly just fix where there is a sqaure on the links to show that it is a drop down menu, change it so like a '>' or something(unless thats what you were trying to do, and the font ur using just doesnt support the character)

2. not too crazy about the layout.. on smaller resolutions (800x600) it gets a horizontal scroll and when you scroll right to read the content the menu bar floats to the right as well.. thus COVERING up the text that I'm trying to read..

Thanks...good catch... have used a higher resolution for so long I didn't even think about it.

the $40... there is a little more work in this than that. I understand if you do not like it...

Since there is no longer a h-scroll bar...the menu is stable.

yes, the hscroll is now gone and it looks much better.. I never said that I didn't like the layout, and the $40 came from the fact that I've seen many templates and layouts for $20 that display a much higher level of professionalism..

I charged 24 beers for a 2 day job, complete website. If you want to see the site check the "banskut" post in the site reviews. Oh and yes, i know it's sad, I design websites for beer.

I wouldn't pay $40 for your site, infact i wouldn't pay anything for it because i'm pretty sure i can make a better one myself.

I think the site looks a bit plain but that's the way it should look. It serves it's purpose well and that's all one could ask for.

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

I don't like the fact it's so wide and high and I'm on a 1024*768 res. I don't like the white bg, it clashes alot from the rest of the site and I don't like the header. Though it looks definitely better than the original one linked to your main button. I like the navigation menu though, simple and clean, it'll be easy for the customer to get around.

I would go for a 35-40$ package price.
