[WIP] CD Discface - Embryo
1000 copies and a 5 color offset print on the disc itself - 5th edition - not sure about the colors - still have a week before I have to have it done - thanks in advance for comments.

Looks great! One thing I would try (try, because I've never done it, haha) but maybe the typo would look great if it was "bled" onto the paper, by that I mean if you made it look like the ink saturated into the paper, yenno? Like if it was written with a sharpie or something, I think it would suit the cover very well

That looks really nice, I'm impressed. I also think that Jeremy's suggestion is a really good one and would make the CD cover just that much better. Great job!

What is going to be on the CD?

it is a complete mixture of songs, all original from different bands and individuals at my school. its a yearly published thing, and i, being in charge of it, got the budget raised from not being able to afford more than 1 color silkscreen to a full 5 color offset print. yeah, i think i know a way to make the text look more realistic, but any suggestions are excepted.
off topic, C4, is theroot42 very active? i spend most of my time at NT and YH!, and have always wondered about root42. do u think would i be accepted if I applied?

you've got a lot of little details on this, and i don't think they'll come out as planned when you print these CDs. but on the screen the look is OK. you used these embryo pictures before for a magazine cover i think. is the cover and the CD related in any way? or are you just reusing the picture because you like it?

could express what you mena by "a lot of little deatils on this," because i am working at 600DPI, and I feel pretty comfortable that what I see is what I will get. especially considering that its not a silkscreen but an actual offset print. we used a different print shop last year, but i feel confident with this shop.
yes, instead of using these for the cover of the magazine, i decided they worked better for the cd. just to explain, the magazine and cd are under the same organization.
