Need Some Feedback. Check it out.
This is where the whole thing started:
http://www.tutorialforums.com/showt...&threadid=71946
I wanted to learn how to make more complex graphics and layouts.
I think I've improved on my graphic skills a bit.

What do you think? Any good? Just one thing. Note that the profile section is not done yet. Thanks!

too many spikes. they left the scene awhile ago.
about the only thing i liked was the footer to the site (not sure why i liked it, but i did, heh). anyway
i'd recommend getting rid of the word "dreamz" and making it "dreams" if you wanna have a design business, try to make the site alittle more professional.
the menu isnt too too bad, add some roll overs.
the header needs a re-do, it's just not very eyebeautiful.
good luck with everything.
: )

Thanks for the input. It's not going to be a main site for selling my services. I have cold callers setup that get all my work for me. In fact, I have a portfolio on our main company site that brings in most of my business. Think of the site as more of a personal/creative site rather then a site that was made for selling services. I will have my services posted on this site but that isn't my main objective. It's more of a play around site then anything. Not to serious. Thanks!

The header is ok, but that spikey 3D ball needs to go.
Concerning your code...
The following is redundant:
<div align="center">
<center>
Use either one or the other. Or, even better yet, get rid of them both and center your design with CSS.
The rest of your CSS can be reduced to the following:
<style type="text/css">
<!--
:link, :visited {
text-decoration:none;
color: #fff;
}
:link:hover {
color: #aed4F5;
text-decoration: none;
}
-->
</style>
You should also get rid of all your <font> tags and use CSS instead.

i'd change the header. it looks like the logo for a horror movie.
i'd also ditch FixedSys on the navigation.
add some rollovers and lose the spike balls
otherwise i like it. nice work.

With a site like that, there's no way you can charge $400 for a web design.
Hell, I code pure CSS/XHTML valid, and I rarely charge above $200. Bad trendwhore + bad code = bad web design. And with a name like that, I don't think ANYONE will be inspired to take it seriously. And all the sites on your portfolio aren't any better.
I'll put this bluntly: this site loads too slowly, and is overloaded with images. That's on top of the fact that there's not a single graphical thing that I'm attracted to.
My vote is to ditch it altogether.

there is nothing to gain by badmouthing and trash talking someone that asks for constructive criticism.
keep up the good work n0torious! as long as you're enjoying what you do, you will always get better at it.

freak, thanks for the scoop on IE
interesting information on IE, freak. i'm one of the users that purchased a pop-up blocker for it. didn't know that other 'browsers' blocked them by default. i also didn't know that there are hidden files that aren't deleted by cleaning the cache.
thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the 2 cents. It seems to be working for me. Most of my business comes to me through www.495websitedesign.com and word of mouth. This site was simply a place I could point people to so that they could see some of my work and contact me if needed. My main objective wasn't to open an e-store to sell services. Whether people buy my services through my site or not, I will still get work. I've been paid as much as $1200.00 USD for 1 site and that customer is 100% happy and satisfied. As you can see from my portfolio, I have plenty of work. Those are all the sites I've done in the last year. Not all of them are breathtaking but they do the job and my customers are satisfied. I wouldn't even be designing websites if I didn't need money so bad to launch my car audio and performance company. I'm improving over time and I don't think I designed this site to impress you or anyone for that matter.
