need help for font creation

ok im in great need of help or advise on creating a font... i know a lot of posts are about it, i've read quite a few, but didn't really found what i was looking for.

i tried fontographer (version 4 i think) and the FontCreatorProgram, but i couldn't achieve what i thought i could or whatever...

anyway what i want to know is, is there a way, with any of these two programs (or any other...) to import a path or a vector shape from Photoshop or Illustrator (i've done so with the FontCreatorProgram, but the vector was somehow modifyd and i couldn't fix it the way i wanted)??! with fontographer, when i wanted to import an EPS file, i got an error saying "not enough memory" or something like it... i've drawn all my letters, scanned them, made shapes out of 'em with photoshop... what else should i do? or is there any other way to do so?
thanx in advance.... Wink
and here's an example of the letter B... left is the scan, and right is the shape made with PS....

A friend of mine does a little bit of type design and he creates all his base shapes in freehand then sends them to fontographer without any problems. If you know anyone with freehand try drawing something out in that and see if it works any better.
