finda font - HeLp

was using my sisters pc recently incl. her systems fonts. She has Win 98 as i do and hse hasnt installed anyhting special, so thought there would be no worries.... but when Ii tried to edit my work, found that i couldnt use those fonts and had to put up with font substitution (in Illustrator). Would very much like to use the fonts i was previously using:

Autumn
CopperplateGothicBT-Roman
Toujours
Toujours Italic

Have done some font searches and looking through the search engine here, but nothing. Normally I might try and get her to mail me the fonts, but her pc's down. Can anyone solve the problem

well, personnaly getting her sending the fonts would be the best...

but if its not possible , and you say that you tryed the engine, try to install the same driver then her...

have you installed Offce? theres like much fonts comming with Microsoft Word.

problem is her computers not really in a state to do anything at the moment....so i have to find the fonts i need from elsewhere

you suggest installing the same driver - how do i find out what driver she has and that i would need...remember she cant tell me as she doesnt have use of that computer at the moment!!!???

have you install Microsoft Office? theres mucho font coming with it...

ms office doesn't have those fonts...i don't have them and i have it installed on my computer. for this reason i back up my fonts on secondary storage. the worst thing that could happen to a designer is to lose fonts.

this is fast devloping into a mystery - clearly some sort of tracker is needed...

where did those fonts come from and where did they go...my sister is one of those default settings people - she's not gone out of her way to get them or anything...yet fontfinder etc isnt even aware of there existence...surely they come with windows 98?

Does anyone have any ideas how i can get the wee rascals
