Moveing jobs outside of the contry

Im sure most people have heard about lots of compays makeing jobs outside the contry ( i know its happing in the us not sure about other places, think Europe too) and its creating job loss.

I dont know what side to take... help

some companys like ibm are sending alot of projects to india, so it would be cheapier for ibm, alot of people in the computer field are without jobs because of this.. i dont really like this idea

All i can say, **** happens. Corporations today must not just make profit every year to please investors and stock, they must make more profit every year. That's why in US & EU they're outsourcing every job to cheaper countries.

It's a bad thing that it works that way nowdays, but unless everyone works cheaper, which is impossible since the pricelevels are so much higher in US & EU, people cannot do this.

people will have to compete over jobs from one country to the next just as people today have to compete over jobs from one state to the next in the US...

dont get complacent in your profession, its foolish to think so. plan ahead. be diverse in your skill if you can.

you must adapt. you must be able to forsee trends in your field of work, and adapt. if you dont. you perish.

i dont want jobs to leave, but they are gone. but not every job is gone either.

some of the blame is on the unions, before they used to be an advocate for the worker, now they are corrupt, fleecing the business owner by levying entitlements to workers. this type of dependency on unions makes people COMPLACENT in thier line of work. think im lying? then why does everyone film in canada or new zealand instead of in L.A. like the old days? its cheaper.

the U.S. auto industry got killed in the 70s and 80s, why? because the auto industry didnt adapt, they were complacent. they had unions with bloated wages pulling drillpresses, making cars that were too big and too expensive in comparisson to imported cars.

the public demanded something else other than what was being sold, they closed up a lot of plants and layed off workers, regrouped and came back, they adapted.

dont bother stressing out about this, its silly. adapt instead.

My dad lost a well paying job because of moving work overseas in November 2002 and didn't find a good paying one until December 2003. I don't think moving work overseas is right once being established in the USA, but at the moment, there is nothing we can do about it.

I dont really have a side on this issue, but i'm tired of hearing people ***** and complain on CNN about jobs being moved overseas. Its not right, i agree.. people here need jobs and we arent going to help the economy by moving jobs... but dont tell me that if you ran a company which could save thousands or even Millions of dollars per year by moving huge factories to mexico and having people do it for soo much less that you wouldnt do it in a heartbeat

i dont know what to say for those who loose their jobs, its very unfortunate. the government does offer 1 year of free college i believe to anyone who is laid off because their job was moved out of the country, i know this because my mom's friend from her old work was laid off because the factory was moved to mexico. He is taking a year in the local community college... maybe its only a semester, not sure. the only downside to it is that you have to do it full time, so you cant work while you take courses... or you have to manage your time very very carefully. its hard to be in your 30's and balance a side job while taking full time classes.

it sucks, but once again, i can understand why its done... seeing as it will save so much money. people in other countries dont need health care or pensions etc... all that stuff can be waved and the hourly wage is cut exponentially.

Whoa, since when did people not need healthcare ?? The reason they dont have it, they cannot afford it with poor paying jobs or the system there doesnt work and there is none. Most of the time the people get really bad wages when bloodsucker corps move the jobs there, that's a fact.

Its just a matter of perspective.

You see it as terrible because you lose your job to some slave worker in china who gets $5.5 an hour with no benefits, no sick leave, no overtime, and no christmas bonus.

The slave worker in china sees it as his chance to get out of the country where there is no future for him and get into a job in a factory working for a national where there is atleast chance for advancement for him.
