New computer problems

Well i got my whole computer put together everything hooked up correctly, the ram is good i know , the ps and hd are fine as well. the problem is when it boots up it gets to right when windows is about to boot and it restarts itself. Leads me to believe that the new mobo is faulty or a chip in it is overheating or something. Or i need to do a fresh instal of windows on this hd for this mobo. any suggestions or has anyone ever heard of this problem =\

Specs:

mobo: Asus A7N8X - E Deluxe
case: Raidmax Scorpio 868
ram: Kingston PC3200(DDR400) 512MB DDR
vc: ATI Sapphire Radeon 9600

thanks in advance.

i have tried to install a hd (with an OS) to another computer and never worked, i asked and told me that it`s impossible to have this think done... so, you need a fresh install

Only way you can get an Windows installation to work when swapping to another hardware, is to run the repair from the CD.

It may not like your current ram timings try loosening them.

what is the rating on your power supply and who made it?

Is it possible it's overheating?

I believe its an M$ problem. I t ried transferring my old hdd to my new boxen and continued to get countless errors.. A format + fresh install solved the problem. I LOVE CFDISK :-D
