spot on printing

hope u talented peeps can help me!

i have made a logo on photoshop

i have now come to the stage where i want it to be printed just wondered what things i shud do to the logo before printing it so that it comes out in mint condition..

i ask thsi cause i just printed it and it has come out a slightly different colour to what i have on screen..

so basically will it be the file type,resolution erm...

the logo is for letters ect and maybe 1 day be stuck onto the side of a small van.

so how do i go about making it look good on the printouts?

obviously i need a good printer and i think mine shud be fine

Well, I think you should use 200-300 dpi resolution for print work (atleast that's what they say, if my memory serves me right)..

CMYK is better for printing too.
Tiff format is good for printing too I believe.

CMYK colors, TIFF format, and 200-300 DPI...oh wait, I just put what they said together. Well, yeah, use all those along with a nice printer and you'll get a nice print. Or, you could even just print using the PSD.
