not that bad for a first layout. Maybe lose the gradient in the navbar or change it atleast.

I agree with EvilRabbit. As for link color.. pink? Surely that was a joke or something, but if not.. then pink would not be a good link color for the layout.

Choose a link color (maroon, crimson, orperhaps gold) for the layout -always make links the same color scheme that goes with the site.

oh man, are you lucky that this layout doesn't suck- cause i was really gunna let you have it. anyways- very good for a first.

-drop the gradient
-drop "Your online source for.... absolutely nothing" thats just silly, and pointless.
-if you feel you need text up there and least bring it up a couple pixels.
-i think the pink would be ok in there, but it wouldnt be very consistant, so think twice.
-add some depth to the sides.

suggsions i have are:

-redo the navigation background, it looks amateuristic, and make it smaller in height too.

-blend your (though nice) iimage on your black background more

- and there seems to be something about the ''about'' that is poking my eye, but i can't really tell you what at the moment...
