Cut effect

Hi!

I have been using PSP 7 for a while now, i found PSP 8 to be awful, so I didnt upgrade. Anyway, I have never found out how to do this kind of effect:

I was wondering how the "Cut" effect was achieved

In this case, create a think vector line with the Draw tool (this will create a new vector layer) then create a selection around it (under the Selections menu there's an option for creating raster selections from objects), go back to the layer where you have the image and hit delete and delete the vector layer.

When you say cutout do you mean to have the font cutout?

We think somewhat alike malphika. I would just make the vector shapes as a top layer the same as the BG color, then combine them. I guess there are several ways to get this effect.
