MySQL Database

I am making a custom startpage run off my server on my computer. The problem is that the MySQL server wont work on my pc so I am just going to use the one from my website. What do I change the current "localhost" text to so that it connects to the database on my website and not on my pc since the entire page is hosted on my own pc. Thanks

I tried to do that once too but was told it was impossible.

However, you might want to try the address (IP, host, DNS, all of them) of your server's home directory. You can find out its IP with (i think) gethostbyaddr(); ... or something. Or just do a Whois search.

it isnt impossible... its ujst a pain in the ***, i would ask your host how to go about doing taht
