Starting a business - Warner Security Systems

Nice name right? awesome! Anyways, I want to start this company for small business security to corporate. Many companies need network and internet security now-a-days with all the viruses going around. I could make a ton of money doing this.

Any ideas or comments? I need some people to help me with this also so if you wanna be apart of this, reply via PM or here with something.

That's what programs like Norton are for.

1. No big company will hire a security firm run by a 17 year old.
2. Almost every major company has a competent enough tech department to apply their own security.
3. There are already security companies out there that have built a reputation for doing just that.

yea you would need certification also, even if they would hire a 17yo to protect thousands of dollars, maybe when your older.

Rather than cater towards companies, I would suggest try to go for individual people. You could offer a 'computer clean up' service or something, where you just go in, install adaware, get rid of any spyware and install a firewall and antivirus. Obviously you couldn't charge a whole lot for that since all you would be doing is installing some programs, but 90% of people who use computers dont even know those sort of programs exist, so hey.

and 90% of the people that do it take advantage of that and charge you more for the "labor" then all the software together costs.

I agree, you are not desirable as you haven't finished high school when you're up against professionals.
