Lightwave wireframe and transparency

I have two questions...hopefully someone can help.

I'm using lightwave 7 and would like to render out my shapes in wireframe. I know in 3dsmax its just a setting in the surface editor, is it the same in LW? Also, how can I change the transparency of a surface (not not wireframe surface but regular polygonal)?

Ultimately I would like to create objects that lines for the polygonal edges and semi-transparent surfaces...however, I must walk before I run....

To render in a wireframe model, open up the render options and you'll see a Render mode drop down menu .. is will probably say "realistic" .. click and hold... you'll see more options.. one is wire frame.

To lower opacity of a surface, open up the surface editor (ctrl + F3) and under the basic tab (default) look for the option "transparency" (7th from top) and make the adjustments there.
