I made this half awake after a midterm .. im suprised it kinda turned into a kinda sorta neat layout ??

*note its a working model at this point links dont work , but their rollvers do ! and i think i built it on 1600 1200 resolution ?? lol its supposed to be a funky modern .. yet retro looking thing i dont know

Yeah that's part of the whole .cjb.net thing. The site itself isn't bad but you should make rollovers for the nav and make it slightly less image dependent.

Oh yeah, and that header is way to big!

you should try and fit the actual content somewhere on the first screen that the user actually sees.
the text on rollover on 'Links' should be centered.

all in all, maybe a bit too graphical intense but nice to the eye.
not much content in there though.

yes, poor you ripped the "Ho' Sale since 1869" image.. that kinda sucks.. rest looks nice, loads slow though.

It's a little bit heavy on the graphics, but take out half the banner and I think it will look pretty good.

Little too busy. Kind of had to look around to know where I'm supposed to look.

i like that a lot. i agree the header should be smaller. the technique is very good although you are playing on the recent trendwhore of "being trendy by making making fun of old trends from the 19xx's" .

i dont think the site is confusing it is just that while maintaining the theme & look you are using a font that is hard to read.
