Recently purchased of the internet and am waiting for it to come.

Just wondering, has anyone played it? Is it similar to the GTA games? and do you like it?

Thanks

Ive beaten the game and yeah its sorta similary to GTA games but not as fun in my opinion. Its a pretty good game, short though and theres really not tons of fun stuff to do like in GTA

You can steal cars but you cant buy condos/garages. The only thing you can "buy" are skills and upgrades.

Is it all just mission based or do you get the freedom of doing whatever you want, like in GTA?

Well it gives you a mission then you get in your car and you have to drive to the mission. During this time you can do whatever you want, bust people at for random crimes that continually happen, pick fights with people. It does this throughout the game.

it's VEEERRRYY linear. that's the #1 thing wrong with it. it has superb graphics, good storyline, and i like the weapon system. but it has very little replay value. it's also VERY short. it's definatly worth a rental, but seeing as how you can probably beat it in 1-3 days, not really worth buying.

so basically that's my opinion of it. and on the gamecube the fighting system is clumsy. 'nother thing i don't like but not a generic game problem.

Well, it came in the mail on Monday. Pretty fun.

I haven't really gotten into the real game, just been riding around busting criminals. Pretty fun game and similar to GTA, but nothing beats GTA.

yeah it is fun. bustin people is great, but gta3 vc still owns it. although i'm amazed how big the map is in the GC version. it's gigantic.
