Need Help: Picking domain names
Im starting a new tutorial database site in the new year and Im trying to think of names. Its going to be somthing like www.good-tutorials.com but different. Basically a tutorial database site.
Here are some names, some are gay:
www.tutorial-planet.com
www.ps-tuts.com
www.photoshop-today.com
www.tutorial-index.com
www.ps-world.com
www.tutorial-kid.com
www.tutorial-town.com
I would like a .com, please help me choose or suggest better domains, please check they havnt been taken (may help)!

www.tutorial-index.com sounds more pro in my opinion as it is an index of tutorials. Tutorial-town.com is very catchy & tutorialbase.com seems alright 2. urgh to many to choose from! :confused:

Never include a hyphen in your domain name. Just make it one or two words but with no hyphens to seperate the words. While using a hyphen to separate the words may higher your rank in search engines, it will annoy a lot of users because usually, if you tell someone to go to your site, for example "go to tutorialcentral.com" (and said it just like that), they would assume all they would have to type is "tutorialcentral.com" to get there. If you don't explictly tell them how the domain name looks (with hyphens and all), they'll keep getting 404s when they try to access your site (or being brought to the wrong site).

I agree about hyphens, don't use them. I don't like them.
